Other ATM Sites:

Mel Bartel's website A Computerized Dob, large thin mirrors, and much more.
Greg Babcock's website Nice 18" ultra-lite dob.
Dan Bakken's website The largest portable amateur telescope in the world: A 41.2" Dobsonian. Great site.
Bruce Sayre's website A 20" very open reflector, and a nice 12 1/2" binocular reflector.
Tom Krajci's website 16" ultra-lite with springs as counterweights.
The ATM Page Lots of telescope pages for design, mechanical and optical considerations plus a photo gallery.
30" Telescope (TRO) A 30" Dobsonian by a group of first time mirror makers.
Shoestring Telescope 16" telescope that uses string in place of trusses
Deep Sky Dave's 13" super low-profile Dobsonian

ATM Resources:

Swayze Optical is a great resource for large Newtonian optics.
ATM Resource List A list of companies that supply just about anything you will need to build a telescope with.

ATM Books:

The Dobsonian Telescope: A Practical Manual for Building Large Aperture Telescopes is the book to consult if you are wanting to build a functional, modern Dobsonian. The book covers complete construction of a large aperture Dob, with a good mirror making reference for those who have completed smaller mirrors with success. In addition, there is a chapter on building a smaller 8" dobsonian.

Periodicals:

Sky & Telescope Monthly telescope building column plus other good info.

Astronomy Conventions & Star Parties: (It's my party and I'll observe if I want to...)

Stellafane Simply the greatest ATM convention with lots of other fun stuff.
Connecticut Star Party Sponsored by the Astronomical Society of New Haven (CT)
